Wilson Bordon "Borden" Winston Jewer

We are sad to announce that Borden passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 84, after suffering a massive stroke. He leaves behind his loving and dedicated spouse of 40 years, Carol Masse, who was by his side following a very peaceful and beautiful goodbye.

Borden was predeceased by his father, William Jewer; his mother, Irene Jewer (Smith); his sister, Louise, and brothers, Don (May) and Murray (Eileen). He is survived by Carol and her children, Lori Bourgeois (Mike) and Andrew Masse (Elina), his two grandchildren, Devon and Alec Bourgeois, and nieces, Loranda and Linda.

Thank you to the staff at Interior Health: Home Supports, the Case Managers, the West Kelowna Health Clinic, the staff at the Adult Day Program operating out of Brookhaven Care Centre, his family doctor - Dr. E. Gustavsson, members of the Westside Seniors Activity Centre, and the CICU staff, especially Dr. Vik and Nurse Myrna. Our family is extremely grateful for the support and prayers of our extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeview Heights Baptist Church, 2630 Alhambra Drive, West Kelowna, on Saturday, January 4th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship. All who know the family are welcome. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Borden are appreciated.
