With great sadness we announce that Bill Warner peacefully passed away on October 4, 2023 with his loving wife, Anne by his side.
Bill was born in Hastings, Ontario on February 16, 1932 where he grew up on the family farm as the youngest of 7 children. When he married he worked in Peterborough at the Peterborough Canoe Company, building finely crafted canoes; he also drove an Oil Truck where he survived an encounter with a train that rolled the truck.
As a side job he built the most beautiful Aquariums with beautiful wooden canopy and bases. By the time 3 boys & 3 girls were born, he was working at Purity Packaging in Peterborough where he was eventually promoted to manage a franchise in Ohio. From there he moved back to Canada and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he drove transport trucks and really enjoyed it until retirement.
Bill was a hard working man and continued in retirement with all sorts of home, and house renovating investments. Throughout his life he enjoyed boating, water skiing and camping adventures with his family. Into his senior years and even following knee replacement surgery he was getting out water skiing. Bill loved God, his family, church involvement, traveling, and reading.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Anne; his 5 children, Greg (Margaret), Rick (Pat), Karen (Philip), Gail, and Nancy; and many Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. As well as Nieces and Nephews far and wide. Bill was predeceased by all 6 of his siblings, and a son, Dan.
