Welden Brian Shoaf

The family of Welden Shoaf of West Kelowna, BC is saddened to announce his passing at the age of 74 years.

Welden will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 40+ years, Lori; son, Clayten and stepson, Branden; sister, Helen and nephew, Avery.   

Although born in Meadow Lake, SK, Welden spent most of his life in the Peace country of Northern BC, in Revelstoke, and later in the Okanagan Valley. Despite working steadily in the construction field, he managed to complete a large number of major renovation projects on his homes and rental properties over the years, largely single-handed. His works stand as a testament to his ingenuity and ability to find a creative solution to any building challenge. Welden was known as a hard worker and a highly dedicated employee of various projects he was engaged on. Respect and fairness were key components when supervising personnel under his leadership, and he would typically defend the underdog.  

Welden was ever grateful for the basics of life, a roof over his head and food on the table. He was a faithful and generous provider for his family, and a loyal friend to many. 

There will be a Celebration of Welden's Life in the late Spring on the beach where he frequently hosted his fishing crew.
