It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce our Mom/MorMor passed away peacefully with her daughter Tina by her side at Lakeview Lodge in West Kelowna.

Surviving are her 2 daughters Yenna Jane Rasmussen of Kelowna, and Tina Rasmussen of Kelowna/Toronto. Her 4 grandchildren Erik Martin (Ashley) of Toronto, Robert Dawson (Paulina) of Malaga, Spain, Sara Dawson (Sunil) of Kelowna and Austin Rasmussen (Brandon) of Vancouver who Mom raised since he was 5 years old after the death of his father, Gary. And one beautiful great grandson, Jakob Martin.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Erik Rasmussen in 1976, and Stanley Davies in 1990, and her beloved son Gary Rasmussen in 2003.

Ville was born in Denmark, and in 1955, she met our Dad in Copenhagen who was on his way to immigrate to Canada in 1956. In May of 1958 she followed our Dad to Calgary, and got married on June 14th, 1958.

Mom and Dad operated a very successful business, SCANDIA MEATS in Calgary.

For many years we went to Windermere, BC our second home, and in the later years, Mom travelled to Mesa, Arizona for the winters for many years which she really enjoyed and loved.  We could write a book about Mom, and we all will miss her strong presence so much. We all love you Mom/MorMor.

Ville didn't want a funeral at her request, she will be cremated and buried with her first husband, Erik and their son, Gary in Calgary.
