Thelma Hamer

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Thelma Hamer on December 10, 2022, with family by her side, at the age of 88 years. 

Thelma was born in England and immigrated to British Columbia with her husband Keith in 1959. She worked faithfully as a Ward Clerk at Kelowna General Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1994. She was known and loved for her humour and her English wit. Since retirement she has enjoyed your passions in painting, playing piano, knitting, and sewing.  

She will be remembered and sadly missed by her children Martin Hamer (Goldie), Karen Hamer, Leslie Smith (Rick), her nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Thelma/Mom/Nana will be missed. She is now holding hands with her loving husband and walking along with her son Glen. She is predeceased by her husband Keith Hamer and son Glen Hamer. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2547 Hebert Road, West Kelowna, with Father Rex Velmonte officiating.
