Shelagh Lynn Turkovics

We are so sad to announce the passing of our beloved Shelagh. Shelagh was born in Comox, BC on August 16, 1966. She was married to Frank Turkovics in December 1987 and just celebrated their 31st year of marriage. Shelagh was well known in the community as a caregiver for adults with disabilities for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, the sounds of birds, painting, cooking, dancing, music, poetry and she was the “pied piper” of children (she loved them they loved her). She loved being free and experiencing life. She was a forever friend, selfless, loved others more then herself. She was full of joy. Shelagh is survived by her husband Frank, her son Seth, grandchildren Rykher and Sinead, her sister Kathleen Mahoney and her niece Kelsi Proulx. Shelagh is proceeded in death by her beautiful daughter Maylysse who passed away in 2007 at the age of 19 of cystic fibrosis.
