Robin Hicks

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend Robin Hicks, age 72, on August 27th, 2024, at his home in Princeton, B.C.

Robin chose quality of life over quantity of life as he declined treatments and instead enjoyed his time visiting, dining, and having the occasional cocktail with family & friends right to the end.

Those who were close to Robin knew that beneath the "grumpy" persona he loved to portray, there lay a kind and caring man.

Those qualities will be remembered by not just the monetary legacy that he has left to the children in need of Princeton or the generous contributions to be made to 3 charities that were close to the hearts of Robin and his deceased wife Marilyn (nee Jacobson) but most importantly the time and efforts he so freely gave to any friend in need.

Robin leaves behind his dad George, brothers Alan and Glenn, sister Georgina, and their extended family members.

Robin's parting words were a simple yet powerful suggestion that perhaps we should all strive to live by ...

"I wish you a long life but more importantly enjoy the time you have left"

A Private Service is to be held at Princeton Cemetery on August 17th, 2024.
