Robert Kellendonk Obituary

It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Kit Kellendonk on April 20, 2020 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 65.

Kit was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba where he spent many summers out at the lake in Lac Du Bonnet. In 1984 Kit relocated to the Okanagan Valley with PPG whom he spent the next 20 years working for before switching to Sherwin Williams automotive division. Kit made many friends and was well respected in the automotive division and leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by many for years to come.

Kit was a long-time active member and Manager of the Kelowna Men’s Club. He loved to play gin, pool and golf. Kit always had a project on the go at home and was always willing to help family, friends and neighbours if a hand was needed. Kit enjoyed dinner parties and playing cards with his special friends and Corrine. Kit will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and was an awesome mentor of all the guys he worked with. He loved playing with his granddaughters in the pool and was always up for several games of cards and going to the movies. On a few occasions he was a little green from some of the rides they made him go on at different fairs, but he always went.

He was predeceased by his Mother Jean, Father Bob, Sister Candace, and his brother David. Kit is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Corrine Kellendonk, sons Jason and Michael (Tammy) and his grandchildren Caitlin and Brianne, his brother Wayne and sister-in-law Linda as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be no service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kit’s memory to Canadian Mental Health Association, kelowna.cmha.bc.ca.
