Reginald Minty Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reginald Archie Minty at the age of 86 years on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Kelowna General Hospital.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He leaves to mourn, his wife Merlida (neé Courville) of 62 years, their sons Paul, Mike (Diana), and David (Liana), grandchildren Hannah and Aidan, sister Donna (Wayne Holley), and brother-in-law Lorne Brown. Reg was born in Sinclair Mills and raised in Prince George, BC. He joined the military in 1957 and completed university to graduate as an electrical engineer.

Reg travelled throughout Canada and the US. As well as living in Singapore and the Philippines before returning to Canada to settle in the Peachland/West Kelowna area that he loved.

Reg also played golf, where he made many cherished friends and was even lucky enough to record 3 holes-in-one during his playing days.

We lost a wonderful person, and he will be greatly missed!

The family is hoping to have a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2021…COVID permitting.
