Paul Marcel Bedard

Paul Marcel Bedard passed away with his family by his side on August 8, 2025 at the age of 90.

He will be remembered and sadly missed by his loving children Paul Bedard (Kathleen) of Princeton BC, Stephan Bedard of Alexandria Ontario, Monique Carlson of Princeton BC, Joseph Bedard of Princeton BC, Christopher Bedard of Victoria BC, his grandchildren Bethany (Michael), Joanna (Garrett), Michael (Hailey),  Blair (Laura), Kendra (Ian), Shelby (Shaun), Raeanne, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, his sisters Yolande Sevigny from North Bay Ontario and Patricia Albeartie (Jim) from North Bay Ontario.

Paul was sadly predeceased by Sandra, his wife of 46 years, his son-in-law Mike Carlson, his parents and 7 Siblings.

Paul was born in Cobalt, Ontario. He moved his family to BC in 1964 for a work opportunity, settling in Princeton BC in 1968.

The majority of his career was as a Diamond Driller, having his name published in the Northern Miner Magazine in the 1970’s. He and Gerry Cote (his late nephew) along with their cross shift set the Canadian Record for the most footage in 24 hours at that time. Paul retired as a mechanic for the Department of Highways.

Paul had a great sense of humour and loved to sing, especially old French songs.
