Marjory McIntosh Lindsay

It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother and GG, Marjory Lindsay. Mom passed peacefully with dignity and respect on March 8, 2020 at the Central Okanagan Hospice House surrounded by the love of her family. Mom leaves a legacy of the truly important things in life - family, laughter, unconditional love and the importance of a good facial cream.

Mom was 93 years young and lived by the rule, "You are only as young as you feel!" She travelled the world from her 70's into her late 80's with her dear friend Nonie. Mom was a force to be reckoned with. Her strength, love and cheeky spirit will live on in her two loving daughters, Laurie Burns and Robin Tabata (Donald), as well as her seven cherished granddaughters Dawn, Darcy, Robyn, Lauren, Ashleigh, Lindsay and Shay and her two most precious gifts - her great-grandchildren Crea and Maxwell. Mom is predeceased by her loving husband Harold Lindsay, her beloved parents Robina and John McKinlay, her dear brother Clyde McKinlay and her dearest friend Nonie.

The family's last day with Mom will be forever treasured as the magic of the Okanagan seasons came all in one day, capped off with International Women's Day and a brilliant Super Moon the very next night. As little Crea and Max say, "GG is now the brightest star in the sky and we will look up and say goodnight to her every night." 

As per Mom's wishes, there will be no service. A family gathering will take place in Richmond, B.C. in the spring to celebrate the beauty of Mom.
