Marie Anita Joyce Drees (nee Sevigny) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 8, 2022 in Princeton, BC.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Willi; children, Denise (Rob), Joyce (Darrel), Bob (Ana Lucia), and Keith (Krystal); step-children, Barry, Bernie (Sheila) and Brenda; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Charlie, Aline and Ed (Velma); and her aunt, Betty (Al).

She is predeceased by her parents, Rosamond and Louis Sevigny.

Anita was a published writer and columnist, accomplished seamstress and crafter. She enjoyed sharing her interests with others and held many craft nights at her home. She was a Past President of the Princeton Senior’s Centre, Past Senior Regent of the Prince Rupert Moose Club, and headed many groups in both organizations. She always welcomed people into her home and many became family.

Anita’s ashes will be laid to rest with her parents after a Celebration of Life in the Spring. Details to follow.
