Manfred Georg Bauer

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Manfred Bauer, cherished husband of Eileen, dear brother-in-law, son-in-law, and friend to many.  He lost his battle with cancer on October 11, 2023.

Born in Germany, Manfred came to Canada in the late 1980s and fell in love with Eileen, who he was married to for 34 years.

He loved Canada and the outdoors and worked for many years for Dawson Orchards, a job he loved.  He was devoted to his family and friends and took great pride in being able to give back to the community that had welcomed him.  From 2005 to 2011 he served as a Councillor for the Village of Keremeos and Mayor from 2011 until he retired in the autumn of 2022.

Manfred loved life and we will gather to celebrate him next spring.
