The world became a little less bright on Friday, March 27, 2026, with the passing of Mac (Howard) Watson, 75, of Keremeos, BC
Born on May 12, 1950 in Winnipeg, Manitoba Mac was known as a strength within his family and community, who would bring a smile and share his stories with everyone. His infectious laughter and unending humor brought joy to everyone around him.
Mac was a loving husband to Karen of 43 years, a supportive father to Shawna, Wesley and Jennifer, a proud papa to Jacqueline, Matthew, Vanessa, Korban and Lukas, not to mention a loyal friend to many.
He was always found happiest outdoors. His entire life had him working hard with his hands and smiling under the sun. You wouldn’t find a harder worker ensuring his task at hand needed to be done right. His idea of retirement was dedicating time with the village of Keremeos and giving his flair of life in events like rodeos, bingo, and street dances. He took pleasure with down time in his RV with his wife, spending time around a campfire with friends. Mac made every moment shine with his vibrant personality.
To honour Mac’s wishes, there will be no memorial service but asks that you think of him in the way you remember him. Since he can’t host it himself, he doesn’t want to throw the party. His family extends a heartfelt thank you for surrounding them with the care and support you had for him and extends their love in this time.
