Lloyd MacAskill Gwynn

GWYNN, Lloyd MacAskill passed away peacefully at his home at Mission Creek Landing on May 11, 2021 at the age of 93 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his seven children, eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, as well as his brother John and sister Virginia. Lloyd was sadly predeceased by his ex-wife Marjorie, daughter Gayle, and five of his siblings.

Lloyd was born on August 9, 1927 in Aspy Bay, Nova Scotia. He went on to manage, own, and operate heating oil delivery services on Cape Breton Island. Later, when he had moved to the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, he managed several major malls in the area.

Lloyd was very social and loved interacting with people. He was engaging and charming and will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour. Lloyd will be dearly missed by anyone who had the privilege of having known him.

The family is planning a celebration of Lloyd’s life back in his native Cape Breton once it is safe to do so. Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society .
