Lawrence Farmer Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Fredrick William Farmer; a devoted husband, loving father, and a man whose infectious sense of humour and unyielding work ethic left a lasting impact on all who knew him.  Lawrence passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family.

Lawrence will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Joan Farmer (Alberts); his children;  Priscilla (Adam), Tammy, Alvin, and Danell (Tyler); and his siblings, Lyle (Debbie) and Sharon (Russell);  His nephews; Lyle (Tracey), Lance (Bobbie), and Malcolm; and his niece Lauren (Shawn).  He will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren; Tyson, Cody (Bri), Teagan, Emma and Dylann.

Lawrence is predeceased by his father, Francis Lyle Farmer and his mother, Florence Elizabeth Farmer (Kitts).

Born on May 30, 1944, in Swan River, Manitoba, Lawrence was a true family man.  He dedicated his life to his family ensuring that they felt supported and loved.  He had an extraordinary ability to make everyone laugh, often lightening the mood with his quick wit and playful jokes.  His laughter was infectious, and he had a unique talent for turning even the most ordinary moments into beautiful memories.

He cherished his wife, Bev, and together they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and joy.  Their relationship was a beautiful blend of love, friendship, and humour, with Lawrence often making Bev laugh with his quick and playful banter.  Every decision or thought he had, always included his wife, Bev.  Together they were truly one person.

As a father, Lawrence poured his heart and soul into raising his children.  He was known for teasing them and being silly in a way that his children will always remember and cherish forever.  He always ensured that his children made it to all of their activities and events.  He taught them the importance of family, and encouraged them to meet their goals.  He was just as amazing with his grandchildren and loved them deeply.  His legacy will live on in the values he instilled in all of them.

A private celebration of life for Lawrence will be held at a later date.

Lawrence’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.  He will be remembered not only for his dedication to family but also for the laughter and joy he brought into our lives.
