It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Carol Sweeney passed away suddenly on February 18, 2020 in Kelowna, BC.

Carol is survived by her loving daughters, Theresa Andersen and Katherine (Greg) Kohlen, beloved son-in-law, Gordon Andersen, grandchildren, Michael (Pavla), Carter (Michelle) and Katelyn (Braedy). Carol has a large extended family of siblings whom she was very close to. She was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Sweeney, daughter Lauree Uhryn and first husband Al Uhryn.

Carol was very active and lived life to the fullest everyday.  She loved to travel, enjoy good conversations about culture and politics, play cards, and spend as much time with her family as possible. Her kindness and caring nature were greatly valued. Carol knew how to have fun and enjoyed a good laugh. She maintained her independence and feistiness to the end. Carol will be deeply missed.

Memorial Mass to take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church  - 2547 Hebert Rd, West Kelowna, with luncheon to follow.
