I didn't know Kevin too well but I met him and Margaret at a poultry sale in Kelowna. We parked side by side at one of the sales and had lots of good conversation during the sale. He was upbeat and very friendly, had lots of stories to share about the turkeys among other things. The next time I saw them both was at another sale while I was very pregnant. We shared some good laughs over my growing belly and I felt quite comfortable seeing them both again for a good poultry gab session! Both great people. I am saddened by his passing and extend my condolences to Margaret and Kevin's family.

Kevin had a kind heart and I'm deeply saddened by his passing. He loved his turkeys and he had great love for my sister Margaret. I will never forget that he was always here when we needed help. Way back to when I was having flat tires at work, when I locked Julia in my car as an infant, when Mike was doing reno's on our house and needed to be rushed to the hospital after cutting his finger tip off and especially for showing up days after Mike's head injury and continuing to come ever second day to either talk with Mike or to ensure me that Mike will get better. He was a caregiver to my dad for the past 10 years also, he made room in his house for him and included dad in his life plans. I will remember him for his contagious smile and eagerness to share a story or two. Rest in Peace Kevin.

I met Kevin through Margaret and our shared interest in livestock.
One of my favourite memories is when I was asked to work my dogs on sheep for the Fall Fair and had to take a dog who had never seen sheep to the farm to learn on sheep who had never been worked by dogs...
Kevin and Margaret watched as I worked with the dogs and sheep and as we finished Kevin gave me the biggest boost of confidence saying how he’d never seen anything so interesting and how he could see with every move I made I was trying to communicate with the dog.
Later at the fair he brought it up again saying he knew right away I’d be great working with kids and animals just because of how patient and positive I had been that day with the dog and sheep.
He never had anything but kind words for me and would talk your ear off for hours if you let him. That is how I will always remember him, as a huge support and patient sheep wrangler.
I can still hear his laugh and see that huge ever ready grin.
RIP Kevin.
