Keith Edward Hansen

“Our dad was a man who lived well, laughed often, and loved much; he gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children. He left the world a better place than he found it, and never lacked the appreciation of earth’s beauty. He looked for the best in others and gave the best he had.”

Born in Simmie, Saskatchewan to Hans and Charlotte Hansen. Keith was the eighth child of thirteen. The family moved to Kelowna, British Columbia in 1947. In 1958, he married Doreen Schaefer (passed October 31, 2015). Together, they had three children, Kevin Hansen (passed March 25, 2020), Kelly (Don) Buchner, and Karen Hansen. Dad also had a special place in his heart for Kris Rainey.

He was blessed with six grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Ross, Julianna Hansen, Kyle (Britney) Buchner, Rylee (Daisy) Buchner, Will Rainey and Triston Rainey (Meagan). He also had four great grand children, Sawyer and Austyn Ross, Kayden Wilson and Ruger Buchner.

Keith is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Ken) Lipsett and Iris Haw; one brother, Ken (Jessie) Hansen; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He had a love for family, music, dancing and the outdoors.

He will be truly missed by all.
