Josefine Haas

Josefine Haas of West Kelowna, British Columbia passed peacefully in her sleep February 7th, 2023.  She was just shy of her 97th birthday.

Born Josefine Rainer in 1926 in Vienna, Austria she was the second of five children.  She is survived by one sibling Gertrude Wieczorek.  Josefine married Otto Haas 1949 and moved to Toronto where she and Otto raised their two daughters.

Josefine and Otto moved to West Kelowna in 2008 to enjoy their golden years.  Otto pre-deceased her in 2014 at the age of 93, after 65 loving years of marriage.

Josefine leaves behind her two daughters Gabriele Haas (Lloyd) , Karin Waggoner (Douglas), four grandchildren, Jessica Haist (Ian), Stefanie Haist (Ryan), Reed Waggoner, Morgan Waggoner and two great grandsons Ethan Gillespie and Miles McEleney.

We will all miss her endearing spirit and love of life; may she rest in peace.
