John Zalewski

John passed away at Hospice House Central Okanagan at the age of 83.  He was the loving husband of Marlene for the past 40 years.  John was born in Nelson, B.C. to Roman and Anna Zalewski. Dear brother to Olga. John was a resident of Peachland for over 30 years.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115.  His love of the outdoors was expressed by his interest in fishing as well as the hours of labour he put into his fruit trees and large vegetable garden.  He was an excellent cook.

John was a kind and gentle man with a warm and caring nature.  His smile and sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him.

A very special thanks to Drs. Carter, Wilson and Gill and the caring staff in IHSC1 at Hospice House.  For those who wish, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice House Central Okanagan or the Kelowna General Hospital.

Cremation has taken place and as per his wishes, there will be no service.
