John Babiak passed away peacefully on March 6, 2020 at Princeton General Hospital after a battle with both lung and brain cancer. He was born February 14, 1947 in Yorkton Union Hospital. He grew up in Calder, Saskatchewan with his family on their farm and went to school there finishing grade 9. His first job was heavy equipment in Saskatchewan and then moved to Thompson, Manitoba where he worked in the mines and food industries. Over his lifetime he had many adventures in the food industry including a restaurant in Atikokan, Ontario, Baaco Pizza in Winnipeg, Manitoba and DQ in Princeton. In all the towns we lived in he was very involved with community activities such as sporting events, concerts and other activities. He will be leaving behind his beautiful wife of 44 years, Lorraine Babiak, his two daughters Allison and Michelle, his step-daughter Rhonda, 7 grandkids and 9 great grandkids. He is also leaving behind his beloved sister Dianna, her husband Ken Bahrey and their families. He will be reunited with his dad George Babiak, his mother Edith Babiak, and brother Donald.
