Jeanna Mae Walker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Jeanna Mae Walker. She fell asleep in death on May 23, 2024. Jeanna was the beloved mother of Jacqueline (Lloyd), Tamara (Dean), Michelle (Andrew), and Donna. Her five grandchildren are Avery (Simon), Delaney (Nolan), Megan, Callie, and Jonas. She was also blessed to have a great grandchild, Kesler. She is survived by her younger sister Ann, and younger brother Robert (Lynn), and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Sadly, she was predeceased by her parents George and Sylva Walker, her sister Gwen, and her nephew Jeff.

Jeanna was well loved for her unique personality. She was always hospitable and generous. She was known to build skating rinks, plant and grow beautiful gardens and flowers, paint majestic landscapes, fix what was broken, play the guitar, and play a mean game of cards. And, of course, Jeanna loved her hockey.

Most of all, Jeanna will be remembered as a faithful, steadfast servant of our Creator, Jehovah. Jeanna’s faith in our Creator’s promise of a resurrection was strong right up to the end of her life. She instilled this love for and faith in Jehovah in her four daughters who look forward to seeing her again.

Jeanna’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all of the beautiful expressions of love, comfort and support that have been so kindly given during this difficult time.

A memorial of her death will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3808 Salloum Road, West Kelowna. Zoom details available upon request.
