It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce that Jason passed away suddenly on March 8, 2022 at the age of 44 in Princeton, BC. Jason leaves behind his loving wife Erin and their two boys Jacob (16) and Matthew (13) whom he loved very much. He will be deeply missed by his mother (Ria) and father (Lee) as well as his two brothers Chris (Anna) and Mike (Jen) along with his in-laws (Fred and Inkie Olivier), three sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews and many, many friends and extended family.
Jason was born in Penticton. He grew up in Okanagan Falls and attended high school in Oliver, BC. Jason’s family attended the Christian Reformed Church in Penticton where he met Erin. Jason had a passion for machinery and went to school at BCIT to become a millwright. Jason and Erin married in 2003 and lived in Penticton while Jason worked at Apex. They moved to Fort Nelson in 2007 and he worked as a millwright for 5 years. He called Princeton home for the last 10 years where he worked at Copper Mountain.
Jason was a devoted dad and husband who loved spending time with his family and friends. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, whittling, snowboarding, hiking, quading, and driving in his truck. Jason showed support in his communities by being a member of Search and Rescue. He was currently a member of Princeton Search and Rescue.
