Hazel Weavell

We are very sad to announce that our lovely Mum, Hazel Weavell, left us, peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 89 in Princeton, BC after a short illness and accompanied by all the family.

Mum will be sadly missed, especially by our Dad, Jack, who has constantly been by her side in over 67 years of happy married life. Also will eldest daughter, Pam and husband, Nik in France, son, Alan and wife, April in Alberta, and daughter, Sylvia and husband, Brian in Princeton, along with 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many friends and relations over the world, in BC, Alberta, Manchester and Kendal in England, France and Luxembourg.

Our dear Mum, Hazel has had a long and healthy life and fulfilled all her dreams with Jack.

After leaving England as a new bride and then cycling across Canada in 1953 on a tandem bicycle, to founding a family and home in Coquitlam, to finally moving to Princeton for retirement. Everyone has good memories of camping in cabins and outdoor bonfires at their ‘Siwash’ property.

Mum was always unselfishly generous and supportive of the family, kind, good-humoured and protective. In our explorations and adventures, we shared life with many dogs, birds and other creatures, enjoyed dinners and celebrations, international travel and projects.

She will always be part of us and in our memories forever.
