With heartache and great sadness, we share news of Gunnar’s sudden and unexpected passing last year. Born and raised in Kelowna, passed away in West Kelowna.
Gunnar leaves behind his wife Tanis and stepdaughter Cadence, whom he loved with all his heart. Gunnar is also survived by his Mother Bev and Father Ron as well as his sister Lora. Grandma Shirley, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Mother and Father-in-law, Brothers and Sister-in-law, nephews, and niece. Gunnar was predeceased by his Grannie Annie, Grandpa Gunnar, Grandpa Tony, and Grandpa Jim.
Gunnar, (who went by Earl until his teens) was an athlete, enjoyed many sports and LOVED his Boston Bruins. He was also a talented artist; always drawing, painting, and creating. Earl was sociable and fun-loving, a spark of light, cheerful and goofy. He made us smile and laugh.
Gunnar’s specialty was auto detailing. He had worked and attended trades College in Fort McMurray. He was working in Kelowna towards his Red Seal certification as an Electrician.
Gunnar had really taken to family life and is dearly missed.
Our warmest thank you to the Hansons Funeral in West Kelowna for their kindness, compassion and guidance.
