Gordon Christopher Taylor, better know as Chris, born August 11, 1948, passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 75 years.
He was a beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Brother, and Friend. He had a quiet humour and laugh, and could read a person within a few minutes of knowing them. He gave the best and longest hugs to all he loved.
Chris was born in Kelowna, BC and spent the majority of his life in Westbank, BC. His careers changed throughout his life. From being a plumber/gasfitter, to millwork, to breweries and wineries across Alberta and BC.
He loved the outdoors and all it entailed. From fishing in Yamada’s pool as a boy, to hunting and camping with friends and family, he was happiest being in nature and at peace. Chris was well known for going on long drives with no place to go. He was also a natural athlete who loved sports of all kinds, but mostly hockey, football, and soccer.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister. Those left with our memories are his brother, Eric; wife, Rita; daughters, Laurie (Billy), Cindy (Randy), and April (Mike); sons, Jon (Jessica), and Ian (Kristin); his 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Chris will be missed by all of those he touched with his friendship and love. He will be remembered as a gentle soul and will forever be in our hearts and minds.
