Doris Chays Obituary

Doris Elaine Chays, known by the name of Elaine, passed away in her apartment in West Kelowna on May 13th at the age of 69. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota and moved here with her family at the age of 17.

She was predeceased by her husband Wade Richard Bjork and she is survived by her step-mother, Violet Chays, three brothers, six sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Elaine loved to cook and bake, especially for those she loved. She loved music and playing her banjo with her husband, Wade, and her brother, Jim. She loved to attend church luncheons and morning coffee with her friends.

To sum it up, Elaine always had a smile for everyone. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
