Donald Scott Obituary

Don Scott of Keremeos, BC passed away peacefully in Penticton on June 8, 2022 at the age of 69 years.

Don was born in Camrose, AB on November 2, 1952. He was raised in Edberg, AB where he took all his schooling, as well as attended Camrose Lutheran College to upgrade his grade 12. After graduation, Don worked briefly for the CNR section in both Edberg and Stettler. He then began work in many different aspects of the oil industry in Sedgewick, Lloydminster and Red Deer.

Don loved his music, Country and Western and Rock and Roll. He could hear a song once and remember it forever. He sang, played guitar, whistled and played mouth organ. He enjoyed Karaoke and often entertained his friends with the “Auctioneers Song” which he did such a great job of. Music brought a smile to his face.

Despite being small in stature, Don was an excellent athlete. He enjoyed fastball, basketball and track and field during his school years and enjoyed playing fastball and hockey during his work career. Bowling was his favourite activity during retirement years.

Don was well liked by everyone. He was easy to get along with and was always ready for a fun activity.

Don married his loving wife, Lois in 2011. They lived in the Bashaw area before retiring to Keremeos, BC.  There they met wonderful neighbours and friends, who were so helpful as Don’s health declined.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Lois; daughter, Rachele; granddaughters, Mikaela and Madison; mother, Gwen; sisters, Marilyn (Jim) and Brenda (Bob); niece, Lori; nephews, Gary (Merilee), Ryan (Michelle) and Darcy (Lonnie).

Don was predeceased by sister, Yvonne; father, Don Sr. and mother-in-law, Eileen Fleck; brothers-in-law, Bob and Larry Rowswell.

HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED,
BLESSED BE HIS MEMORY!
