Daniel Lewis Obituary

Daniel Leonard Lewis
1971 – 2020

Daniel Leonard Lewis passed into the presence of his Lord on March 10,2020. He is survived by his parents George & Gladys, Sister Carolyn, Brother Joel (Tami), Nieces; Hailey, Skyler, Trinity and Destiny, Nephew Austin, as well as Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Dan was born in Castlegar, BC on February 12, 1971, and graduated from S.H.S.S. He loved Shop, tools, mechanics, hot cars and 'adrenalin rush' sports. In September 1989, Dan was critically injured on a motor bike in Penticton, leaving him a pentaplegic. He lived the next 30 years of his life with his family who lovingly cared for him. We were a team: Doctors, Specialists, Homecare and Hospital nurses, and Dan's caregivers.

We would like to give special thanks to Dr. McCauley for over 20 years of dedicated care. He called Dan the ‘comeback kid'. We would also like to thank everyone who cared for Dan.

Dan could smile at the storms of life. His faith was anchored in the love of Jesus Christ his Savior. "Dan, we will see you in the morning".

Internment: 11 am Friday August. 7th at Castlegar Park Memorial Cemetery – 2311 14th Ave, Castlegar, BC.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm Saturday September 5, 2020 at South Beach RV Park – 3815 Shaha Lk Rd, Penticton, BC.
