Dale Otten

The family of Dale Otten of West Kelowna, BC are saddened to announce his passing on January 7, 2023 at the age of 81 years.

Dale will be remembered and sadly missed by his partner, Evelyn Jerome; children, Shelly Malmstrom (Doug) of Washington State, Trent Otten (Carol) of Nanaimo, BC and Melissa Otten (Brad) of Leduc County, AB; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He is sadly predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Karen Otten.

Dale’s kind heart and smile touched everyone who knew him. He was always a hard worker and never shied away from a new project.

He worked many years in the propane business and at the coal mine in Grande Cache, AB. He loved his years as a volunteer firefighter and as a volunteer for Citizens On Patrol.

In his retirement, Dale worked at the Two Eagles Golf Course for several years. He enjoyed golfing when not working!

Dale loved his family deeply. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
