Borge T. Christensen

On Dec. 11, 2023, Borge T. Christensen passed away at the age of 92.

Borge leaves to mourn his wife of 67 years, Vera; children: Jette (Tim) Roth, Ole (Barb), Kent (Ina), grandchildren: Bryan (Kayla), Cameron (Serena), Kevin (Paige), Darcy (Katie), Alex, Nicole (Riley), Aaron (Amanda), Marie (Mark), 8 great grandchildren, and remaining family in Denmark.

Born in Bramming, Denmark, Borge earned his trade as a blacksmith/fabricator/machinist. In 1958, he moved his young family to Vancouver and then to the Okanagan in 1977.  Loving the outdoors, he was an avid fisher and hunter enjoying to reminisce of adventures, even if there was no “catch”.

He was a man of many trades and accomplishments. From welding, to building contractor, to starting/owning Westbank Home Hardware, and owning an 18-acre vineyard. Then retired and travelling with his wife and enjoying time with his family.

He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Parkinson’s research foundation.

As per Borge’s wishes, there will be no service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
