Veneta Thomson Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Veneta Anne Thomson December 23, 2018 in Princeton BC.

Anne was born September 4, 1954 in Ottawa ON. She was raised in Vancouver BC before moving to Halifax NS and Toronto ON. Married in the 70's, she had one daughter. She lived in Powell River, Surrey, Campbell River and Chilliwack BC before moving to Princeton.

Anne was known for her creativity and drew exquisite landscapes. She had a huge love of music and a wonderful voice. We will remember her brilliant sense of humor. Having tea and a laugh with Anne was truly excellent.

Her family, many friends and acquaintances will miss her gentle nature, warm generosity and perpetual kindness.

She will forever live on in the hearts and memories of her friends, her daughter Celest Brown, brother Lorne Thomson, sister Donna Adolph, brother George Thomson and their respective families, as well as her many nieces and nephews who knew her dearly as “Auntie Anne”.  She blessed all of our lives with her tender heart.

Anne has been greeted in Heaven by her loving parents Fred and Veneta Thomson, brother Bruce Thomson, sister Maralyn Leger, and her brother-in-law and kindest of friends Ron Leger.

Many thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Princeton and Penticton hospitals for their care of Anne over the years.

Free of the fetters of the world, Anne will rest in Paradise in Jesus’ care.

Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter,
    you will restore my life again;

 from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
 You will increase my honour and comfort me once more.

Psalm 71:20-21
