Robert Edward Currie

October 3, 1937 ~ January 14, 2019 (age 81)

In loving memory, Robert Edward Currie, aged 81 passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, 2019.  Robert was married to his loving wife Allana Currie of 50 years. Loved by his brother Tom/Marilynn Currie, sister Trudy Whitford.  Survived by daughters; Tammy- Dawn - (Tammy), Kelly (Jim), Jules (Lanny), and predeceased by his loving son Arthur -2017 (Stacey); survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and large extended family.  Robert also had a keen eye for his great grand-daughter, amazing Grace.

Robert (Bob) was in the Canadian Army for 9 years; a prison guard at Oakalla Prison, truck driver and taxi driver. Robert then moved to Westbank and worked for Gorman Bros. as a Millwright for 32 years.  After retirement he worked as a Commissionaire for 6 years.

Robert “Bob” was deeply loved and respected by his large family, colleagues and friends. We were all privileged to have had him in our lives and to be guided by his example. Bob loved camping; he was an avid reader, he loved making beer/pop can airplanes in his spare time and loved his gardening.

* at any given time he could tell a good wartime story*

Bob was a loyal member of society, member of committees and yearly walked in honour of the fallen.

We all “God damn” miss him.
