Marjorie Velma (Spillett) Gwynn

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mom in West Kelowna, BC on Tuesday Oct 29, 2019 at the age of 93. She passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her daughters.

Marjorie was born Dec 14, 1925, and was raised in Charlottetown, PEI as the daughter of Arthur and Marion Spillett. At a young age she left the Island and eventually settled in Sydney, NS where she brought up her 9 children. She moved to BC in the early 80s, living in Maple Ridge, and then on to West Kelowna.

Mom was loved by many wherever she went. She had a wonderful smile, great sense of humour and style and loved to talk to everybody. She was open minded all her life, ready to accept everyone as they are and very young at heart.

Marge is survived by five daughters; Nancy (Murray Perrett), Sicamous, BC, Heather (Ross Olafsen), Kelowna, BC, Carolyn (Brad Sullivan) Aspy Bay, NS, Gwenn (Ches Skiffington) West Kelowna, BC, Sheri (Ron Baas), Calgary, AB, and two sons, Barry (Jacqueline Decker) Coxheath, NS, and Darren (Pam Balog) Pitt Meadows, BC. Nonnie is survived by 20 grandchildren, Craig, Jamie, Adam, Asheley, Brianna, Kendra Connor, April, Brittany, Brad, Jeff, Brittany, Kris, Kelsey, Bryan, Becky, Cheryl, Kortney, Jeremy, and Nicole as well as 20 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind, her sister Janet Tait, Charlottetown, PEI and her former husband Lloyd Gwynn, West Kelowna, BC. She was predeceased by her daughters, Marilyn Waye and Gayle Mugdridge.

There will be no funeral by request. Interment will be at a later date in Aspy Bay United Church Cemetery, Cape Breton, NS.
