Marion Elliott Obituary

Marion Frances Elliott, beloved mother and Nana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 8th, 2019. Born on December 23rd, 1928 in Battleford, Saskatchewan to Ivan and Rosie Corrigal. She was the youngest of four children. In 1949 she married her husband Jim. They had three sons and lived in Herschel, Battleford and North Battleford. In 1970 the family moved to the Okanagan and settled in Peachland. Jim loved their new home and set to work building the “Castle on the Rock”. Marion was not so sure. Her love of Saskatchewan and the prairie never left her and she could have moved ‘home’ anytime. Marion worked for SaskTel, BC Tel and Haworth Jewellers. Jim and Marion retired to spend several years hosting visits from family and friends and enjoying the fruits of the Okanagan. When Jim passed in 1997, Marion moved to a beautiful condo in Westbank and became the center of a large group of friends. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Family was everything to Marion and her telephone was her connection to relatives and friends near and far.

Marion is predeceased by all her siblings and their spouses. Eileen (Jerry), Gwen (Jim), and Allan (Laurie). By her beloved husband Jim of 49 years, her youngest son, Gerry, her daughter-in-laws Cathy and Carolynn. She is survived by her sons Jim (Karen), Norm (Cindy) and her daughter-in-law Barb (Al). Five grandchildren, Krista, Jim(Sabrina), Kristy, Andy and Becky(Mike). Six great grandchildren, Tyson, Travis, Evan, Cyan, Carissa Alyssa and another expected in April.

Please help us celebrate Marion’s life on June 1st, 2019 in the clubhouse at Montecello at 3880 Brown Road in West Kelowna.
