John Huby

October 25, 1935 – October 29, 2018 ( Age 83 ) 

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of John on Monday, October 29, 2018 in West Kelowna, BC.

He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. John was born October 25, 1935 in Middlesex, England and lived in the UK until 1974 when he emigrated to Canada with his family, living in the Barrie Ontario area. John was a skilled Mine Surveyor and subsequently Civil Engineer. He was employed by Proctor and Redfern and later the Region of York Ontario, until he retired in 1990. John met and married Stasia, his loving wife of 32 years and they later moved to the Okanagan and have lived in West Kelowna for 21 years enjoying their retirement together. John had many hobbies and interests, some of his favourites were local history, exploring/hiking, wine making, travelling, dancing and cross country skiing.

A special thankyou to Margaret and the fine staff at Pine Acres home for their dedicated and loving care.

John will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all.
