Jessie Shaw Obituary

Shaw, Jessie Mary, 94, passed away July 17th at The Village at Smith Creek.

She was born in 1924 in Vancouver and moved with her family to Comox, Courtney, Campbell River. She was employed as a telephone operator at Home Oil Distributors until meeting Martin Shaw on summer holidays in 1956. They married on December 8th of the same year and remained in Peachland until moving to The Village at Smith Creek. She was active in the church and the community including the Peachland Historical Society. Martin and Jessie had a small Orchard for their entire marriage and sold many varieties of fruit to the public and had quite a following.

She was predeceased by her parents Guy and Mary Loveridge, her brother Alan Loveridge, her husband Martin Shaw and many other family members. She is survived by her sister, Kathy Hearst, sons Ron (Madeline) and family and Ken (Carol) and family.
