Herbert John Woolridge

It is with great sadness the family of Herbert John Woolridge announce his passing at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Eleonore of 60 years, son William (Cheryl), daughter Melinda (Diana), grandsons; Robert (Serena), Thomas, James and Max, great-grandson Fynnlee, his sisters; Mabel and Daisy, brothers; Ernie, Eddie and Roy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brother Wayne and sister Melinda.

At the age of 18, Herbert joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served for 32 years. He was instilled with an appreciation of life’s simple pleasures and the rewards from hard work, the comforts of a loving home and devotion to friends and family. Herbert was known for always telling jokes and had a funny sense of humour. He cherished his time with his grandsons and great-grandson.

We’d like to give our thanks to the staff at Lakeview Lodge for the care they provided to Herbert.

He will be sadly missed by his family and by all those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday December 5, 2019 at Lakeview Lodge – 2337 Butt Road, West Kelowna, BC.
