Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Mabel Hallam, née Harris, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the age of 90. Betty is survived by her son Glen (Lynn) and granddaughters Megan and Carly (Ryan). Betty was predeceased by her husband Bernie and her parents.
Born in Saskatoon, November 22, 1928, Betty moved to Westbank in 1970 and was the proprietor of the HyMart Convenience store on Main Street for 10 years along with her husband Bernie. She started managing the Westbank Lions Community Centre in 1979 and served in that role for 25 years. Betty was a long-time member of the Westbank Lionesses.
Betty’s family is very grateful to the staff of The Village at Smith Creek for the care given her over the last 2 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday October 5, 2019 at the Westbank Lions Community Centre - 2466 Main St, West Kelowna, BC.
