Edward Ernest Rashke

My Papa passed on to a higher place on September 25th, 2019. It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Edward Rashke as his wish was for the dust to settle first. Edward was blessed with good health but due to a fall he ended up in the hospital. God saw my Father struggling so he was taken home to heaven. Dad can now play his music as he played everyday.

Edward was predeceased by his loving wife Giovanna. He is survived by his daughter Gale (Garry), stepchildren; Amelia, Mary, Claudio and Heidi, his brothers; Lawrence, Herb, Harry and Gordon (Pat) and his sister Lorraine (Rudy). My Father was also blessed to have such a good friend in Marie and his niece Debbie Gamache who was always there to be at his side. He always said his “special girls” were Gale “Hunzy”, Debbie “Himer” and Marie. We would ask him, how can a man be so loved, and he would say lucky and loved. I also want to give special thanks to his niece Esther and family who showed their love by visiting regularly.

He loved his house in the bush, working on it at his own pace for over 10 years. He enjoyed living in his own space and doing what he wanted. He worked at the mill his entire career, he loved it and he often talked about his memories.
