Domingos D’Assuncao Neto passed away January 29, 2019 at the Village At Smith Creek, West Kelowna, at the age of 96. He was born in Portugal to Domingos and Tereza. He moved to Canada when he was thirty years old.
Domingos was a pilot in the Second World War, travelling to countries as far away as England and Russia. When he was 28 years old, he fought Mohammed Ali in China. He would tell people “I got in two good punches before he beat me up pretty good.” Domingos married Maria and they had a son and daughter.
The local Seventh Day Adventist Church was very important to Domingos and central to his life. He deeply valued the care of the Village At Smith Creek, especially Nancy.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday February 5, 2019 at the Westbank Cemetery, Westbank, BC.
