Anton 'toni' Remenik

REMENIK, Anton (Toni)passed away on the evening of December 25, 2011 at Kelowna General Hospital after being admitted on Oct.15th for a stroke. He continued to battle other heart and lung issues up until the time he passed away. Toni was born on February 4, 1932 in Plesivec, Yugoslavia and emigrated to Canada in 1968. A long time resident of Kelowna, Toni enjoyed gardening and was always the life of the party. He loved music, and to go dancing as often as possible while spending time with his friends. He cherished many years of memories and laughter with friends at the Slovenian Hall in Kelowna. He is survived by his ex wife, two daughters, son, and grandson of the Lower Mainland; a nephew in Yugoslavia; as well as numerous other family and friends. A special thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Kelowna General Hospital. A Celebration of Life for Toni will be held in Kelowna at a later date (to be announced), as this was where he best enjoyed his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Toni's behalf to the charity of your choice.
