Ann Koshman
1919 - 2019
Ann Koshman September 22, 1919 – April 3, 2019 passed away peacefully at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna, BC six months shy of her 100th birthday.
Nanny, as her family called her, lived in Edmonton and worked at the Misericordia Hospital as a dietitian until she retired. She loved her work and loved the people she worked with.
When we think of Nanny, the things that come to our minds are her meticulous home. Her home was always spotless, however, ever so welcoming. The smell of food cooking and baking for all was always something you could expect. She always volunteered to bring a dish to whatever function was happening. Another passion was her beautiful flowers that lined my grandparent’s walkway and out front of their home. We all spent a many of days sitting on their front steps admiring the flowers eating watermelon.
Sadly, Ann lost the love of her life John (Papa) back in 2001. They had the most amazing love for one another. They were as one, they laughed, dance and just loved being around each other.
Ann had also lost her son Robert (Bob) in 2014, granddaughter Cheryl in 1971 and many of her siblings (Marie, Alice, Doris, Peter & Jack), her parents and other close family members.
She is survived by her son Allan and his children (Kathleen and Barbara) and families. Special daughter in law Ann (Bobs wife) and their children (Sandra and Rob) and families. Also, her very special brother Johnny and his wife and family. Great grandchildren, Allan, Spencer, Ali, Mitchell, MacKenzie, Chantel and Dylan and many nieces and nephews.
I would like to thank the very special family at Sun Pointe Village that has taken care of Nanny over the past years. We will never be able to thank you enough for making her always feel special.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
