October 3, 1929 – October 12, 2018.

It is with fond memories that the family of Shirley Margaret Hall Engels announce her passing on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the age of 89. Shirley was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and spent all her life in BC, with the last 44 years in Westbank, BC.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joseph E. Engels of 45 years; sister Marlene Hall Falkenberg of Abbotsford, BC and brother Ronald D. Hall of California, USA; and her children Danny G. Gray (Anita) of Alaska, USA and Darrell K. Gray of Vancouver, BC. Shirley will also be missed by her step-children Darlene, Denise, Joann, Irene; 15 grandchildren (Christy, Craig, Danny, Darquise, DeeAnna, Holly, Lisa, Mark, Matthew, Nathaniel, Richard, Sarah, Sherry, Terra, and Tiffany); and 18 great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

Shirley is preceded in death by her son David R. Gray and daughter Georgina J. Gray Nantel, her parents David G. Hall and Phylis Jones Hall Childs.

The family thanks Village of Smith Creek staff for their compassion and wonderful care of Shirley. A service has not been scheduled.
